We Raid Naked Official Code of Conduct, Part 2 Empty We Raid Naked Official Code of Conduct, Part 2

    Post  Dameon March 14th 2009, 4:28 pm

    Becoming a Raider
A member that has expressed interest in raiding will be at Social/Trial rank until they attend three consecutive 25 man raids. At such point, a Judgment Call will be made by the GM based on a member’s performance, attitude, and how well they fit with the guild. The GM will acquire this information by speaking with the Class Leader, and the Officers. If the GM agrees, the player will be promoted to Raider. If the GM disagrees, the player will stay at Social/Trial Rank. The only person that can promote members is the GM.

    Denial of Promotion
If a player is denied promotion, the player will be informed of the reasons why. If the player wishes another chance, a second Judgment Call will be made after another three 25-mans. If the player is denied again, this time they may not appeal.

    -Higher Up Positions
Upper Management Positions have been initially assigned upon the formation of the Guild, and are rarely open. If a position does open up, Raiders will be considered for promotion based off of Performance, Personality, and Leadership Skills. Raiders will be notified if one of these positions opens up, however we will probably have a few people in mind already.

    -Raiding Positions
Ideally, we are aiming to get the same 25 people in every raid, with about 5 or 6 members standing in the wings ready to go if someone has to leave. Raiders always have priority over Social/Trial. There are many factors that go into deciding who gets a raid spot. Tanks and Healers are always chosen first, and DPS last. We try not to have more then 3 of any kind of class in our raids, as this becomes unbalanced. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOU A RAID SPOT. Your Rank, how many of your class we have, what time you come online, and your level of performance are just a few factors for who we decide to bring to raids.

    Raider Expectations
As a Raider, you are the representative of the guild’s accomplishments. For better or for worse, your actions will help decide what the guild is capable of.

-Know your class, and how to play it. Go online and theorycraft on new abilities, specs, and ways so you can play to the best of your ability.
-Read up on boss strategies. It will be blatantly obvious if you don’t know what you’re doing, and it will prove to us that you are not serious about raiding.
-Show up to raids. It is expected that you make 66% (2/3) raids every week. If you can’t make a raid, LET US KNOW. We will plan around it.
-Raid invites go out 20 minutes before raid time. Be online, and ready to go. Bring consumables. Be the best you can.
-Be the correct spec for raiding. Showing up to a raid, blatantly specced incorrectly will result in a DKP suspension for the night.
-Provide information to other guild members, and help them out. The better we make each other, the better the guild will be.
-Do not use Real Life substances that will impede your ability to raid. We will be able to tell if your performance is not up to par and we will call you on it. We realize that this is hard to enforce, especially because of our raid times. All we ask is that you be responsible. For example: if you want to drink, fine. But don’t get drunk.
-Maintain a Level of Professionalism. You are here to raid. You know what is and isn’t acceptable to do. Screwing around is tolerated TO AN EXTENT. You should know when we need to be serious, and when we can take it easy. This is a game, and we want you to be yourself.

    Problems with Raiding
If you are having a problem in a raid, please say so. Your problems will not get solved if you do not voice your issues. This of course, is within reason. For example, as a Raider you are expected to understand the mechanics of a boss, but actually doing it the first few times is a little different. Speak up. Ask for help, say what you’re having trouble with. It is the job of the Leaders, Officers, and Guild Master to do everything they can to make you perform to the best of your ability.

    Being Removed From a Raid
Upper Management must have a viable reason to remove Guild Members from a raid. If a member is removed from a raid, a replacement will be brought in. Reasons for this include:
-Member is not/cannot perform up to standards, (Member will be notified of this and will be given a chance to improve)
-Another member is needed to be brought in for a specific fight
    -Member is instigating Drama

    Communication in General
It’s such a simple thing, and yet no one does it as much as they should. We are not mind readers, and we cannot read body language over Vent. If you have a problem with something regarding Raiding or another Guild Member, Let an Officer know. We cannot emphasize this enough. Your problems will never get solved if you don’t let us know about them!

    Guild Drama
We define Guild Drama as an act that is done to intentionally spark argument and tension amongst guild members. We understand this is a social game, and you will meet people that you may not necessarily agree with, or just rub you the wrong way. We expect that you are able to deal with it in a mature manner. We do not tolerate Guild Drama, and instigators will be penalized. The Disciplinarily Measures taken depend on the severity of the act. For more information, see Disciplinary Measures.

    The Guild Bank
The Guild Bank is the Guild’s special store of items that are used for raiding. The purpose of the GBank is to provide members with a store of items that they may obtain at half Auction House price.

There are currently 5 tabs in the Guild Bank. The first 2 are Public and may be used by any member of the Guild. The last 3 are restricted to Leaders and up. More rare and expensive items are stored here. All members may deposit items in any tab. Items that Upper Management deems unnecessary will be re-ordered or removed.

Obtaining Items from the Guild Bank
In order to purchase something from the Guild Bank, let any member of Upper Management know and they will get it for you. Upon obtaining the item, you will be required to either deposit the money directly into the GBank, or give it to Upper Management, and they will put it in the GBank for you.
    Enhancement Items
Enhancement Items, (Enchanting mats, Gems, etc) Items that are used to enhance items will only be distributed if the player has an appropriate piece of gear to enhance. In laymans terms, you can’t buy enchanting mats to twink out your level 19. Also, that awesome level 72 Superior weapon you have is going to be replaced very quickly while you’re leveling and putting Berserking on it is a waste.

    Recipes
All BoE Epic Recipes that are acquired in Raids are placed in the Guild Bank. Members that are interested in the pattern must speak with Upper Management. Patterns are paid for with DKP.

    Disciplinary Measures
In the event that a member of the guild is acting in a way that is hindering the performance of others, tarnishes the name of the guild, or instigates guild drama, disciplinary actions will be taken. An Officer will speak to the member regarding the issue. The member will be told what they did wrong, why, and what they can do to fix the damage they have done. Most issues will be resolved in this manner. More serious incidents will be brought directly to the attention of the GM, who will decide what action will be taken. Some punishments may include but are not limited to:
    Loss or Suspension of DKP
    Loss of Vent Privileges
    Loss of Guild Bank Rights
    Guild Expulsion.

We understand this is a game. However, we are trying to achieve a cumulative effort to progress through 25 man content. Running a raid is hard work. Enough things can go wrong as it is without adding player drama to the list. Have fun, stay relaxed, do your job, see endgame content, don’t start drama, and you should be fine.

    Reasons for Immediate Guild Expulsion
There are things that will result in a member’s immediate Guild Expulsion. These reasons include:
-Theft (ninja’ing) of a DKP item
    -Guild Bank Theft
    -Insubordination
With the exception of Insubordination, only the people in charge of distributing loot and have extended access to the Guild Bank are the ones who can incur these violations.

    Raid Chat/Ventrilo Guidelines
The Guild’s Official Ventrilo Server is a 30 person vent. It may be used at any time by members of the Guild. Do not give out Vent info to ANYONE without at first asking the permission of Upper Management.

During our raid times, people who are in the Official Raid have priority over others. In the more lax times during raids, such as clearing trash, socializing is permitted and even encouraged, as long as it is kept within reason. During boss fights, we ask that you keep Vent clear unless you have something relevant to say or if you have a question. If members cannot accommodate to this, they will be muted.

Infamy, Prestige and Trade Channel Drama
People are going to talk about our Guild in Trade Chat. Why? They like us, they hate us, they’re jealous of our accomplishments, or they’re just plain bored. Before you start to type, remember that you are representing our Guild. As our guild begins to become an accepted part of the server, people will associate us with an image. We do NOT want to become associated with a negative image.

-Do not fuel flame wars against the guild. If someone is talking shit about us in Trade Chat, the forums, or ANYWHERE else, ignore it. Do not respond to the jeers, as it will only make matters worse. At most, let an officer know that we are being flamed, but please, do not respond to the catcalls.

-When we make accomplishments in PvE, do not flaunt yourself, and do not act like you are better than other people. We want people to acknowledge and respect us, but we will earn that respect. Do not forget that you are a representative of the tag under your character’s name. Do not tarnish it by acting like a stuck-up douche.

-Always remember why you are a part of this guild. As a Raider, your primary responsibility is to perform to the best of your ability to see and experience endgame content. We are here to raid, not to stand in Dalaran in our shiny epics. Yes, that is a perk, but it’s not why we’re here.

If Others Wish to Join the Guild
Know someone that wants to join us? Great! You don’t need to direct them to an Officer. In order to apply to our guild, all applicants must create an account on our website, and fill out an application following the template we have provided. We do not make exceptions on this. Applying to a Guild is like applying for a Job. If they do not want to fill out an application, then we do not want them in the guild.

    Setting Up Raids
The Scheduling, Planning, and Execution of Raid Times are the responsibility of the Upper Management of the Guild, (Leaders, Officers, and the Guild Master). Upper Management does listen to the members of the Guild as to what they think should be done and what direction they feel the Guild should take, but the final decision is up to Upper Management, no questions asked. If you have a problem with it, speak to an Officer and they will talk with you about it.

    Official Raids
All official raids for the Guild are planned ahead of time and are set up on the forums. Any other raids, (10 man and up, PvP Boss exempt) that members would like to set up MUST be cleared by Upper Management to make sure that it does not conflict with any of our official raids.

    Raid Times
As of right now, our Official Raid times are Friday, 7:30pm-11:30pm, Saturday 5:30pm-11:30pm. When Ulduar comes out, we are considering adding a third day, which will be Sunday.

With all of this being said, the most important thing we want Guild Members to do is to have fun. However, the nature of Raiding requires that we lay down ground rules so that issues do not occur that threaten our ability to raid. If you have a problem with anything stated in this document, please contact Upper Management.
