    CODE OF CONDUCT: VERSION 1.0
    Updated 3/13/09

The following is a Code of Conduct for We Raid Naked of Nazjatar. The purpose of the CoC is to give applicants an idea of how the Guild is run, as well as a layout of the expectations, rules, and policies that ALL members of the guild must adhere to.
It is expected that all applying members read this document*. Guild Members that have been in the guild prior to this document’s existence must at least read the sections that pertain to them, such as Raiding Expectations and the rules for DKP and Loot Council.

If you don’t agree with these rules, think something is unfair, or don’t understand something, let us know. We will be happy to elaborate.
*If an applicant has a question about the CoC, they may put it at the bottom of their application.

NOTE: The Code of Conduct is not set in stone and it subject to change at any point in time. Guild members will be notified to changes made to the CoC.

Guild Ranks: The hierarchy of the Guild, as well as a brief explanation of the duties and privileges of each. If you have a problem with something, this can help you figure out who to go to.

    -GM (Guild Master)
The Guild Master is your friend. He deals with overall functionalities of the guild, such as scheduling raid times, leading raids, figuring out boss strategies, keeping track of raider attendance, performance (over time), morale, and promotions. The GM also is responsible for formal interaction with other guilds, for things like joint-raiding. Can’t make it to next week’s raid? Know a good mod for DKP distribution? Want to pug a 25 man next week outside of our raiding schedule? Talk to the GM.

    -Officers
Officers are the recruiters, micro-managers, and disciplinarians of the guild. They are in charge of dealing with more specific, day-to-day problems and issues. Among many other things, Officers help the GM run raids, and can run raids themselves. The Officers are also the upholders of the CoC, and are expected to know and understand it the best out of anyone. Need something out of the GBank? Don’t understand something with the CoC? Think someone in the guild is violating the CoC? Talk to an Officer.

    -Class Lead
Class Leads are the players that are knowledgeable in the classes they cover. They are responsible for making sure the members of their class are performing to expectations. If a Class Leader can’t answer your question, then they’ll tell you who can. Got a question about your spec? Not sure what consumables to use? Trying to figure out a good rotation? Talk to a Class Lead.

    -Raiders
The Raiders are the heart of the guild. Without the Raiders, the Guild would not exist. They are responsible for getting the guild through end-game content. Raiders are allowed partial access to the Guild Bank and are allowed to repair out of the Guild Bank in special occasions, such as Progression Bosses. For more information, see Raiding Expectations.

    -Social/Trial
Initiates are new members to the guild who have expressed interest in wanting to become a Raider. Social/Trials may accumulate DKP in raids. However, they may only use this DKP to compete with other players of the Social/Trial rank. A Raider will always be given priority for a piece of loot over a Social/Trial, unless a Loot Council decision is made. For more information, Raiding Expectations.

    -Friends/Family
Rather self-explanatory, these are members that know someone in the guild. Friends and Family will only be considered for raids if the alternatives are pugging or not raiding for the night.

    -Alts
Also self-explanatory, Alts are alternate characters of Raiders and Socials.

    -Fail be wit you
This rank is our initiate rank and also serves as a punishment rank for players who have done something unusually stupid.

    Loot Council
The Guild uses Loot Council to distribute loot. The purpose of this is so that loot may be distributed to those who Upper Management believes deserve it. Items in 10 man raids are distributed via /roll.

    About Loot Council
The most important thing is that players understand how and why a decision is made. It’s when people don’t know that they get angry, frustrated, and feeling ripped off. The Loot Council consists of the GM and the Officers. When there is an issue with an item, the players interested in it will link what the item that the piece of gear will be replacing. After this time, a Judgment Call will be made on who receives the item. The GM is the one who makes the final decision. Items that are distributed through Loot Council still cost normal DKP.

How We Decide Who Gets Loot
There are two main things that govern how we distribute loot: Performance and Attendance.

    Performance
As a dps class, your job is to kill the boss as efficiently as your class and the mechanics of the fight allow without dying to the mechanics of the fight. As a healer, your job is to keep the members of the raid alive as efficiently as your class and the mechanics of the fight allow without running out of mana, or dying to the mechanics of the fight. As a Tank,
your job is to hold aggro on your designated target as efficiently as your class and the mechanics of the fight allow without dying to the mechanics of the fight.

Combined, the members of Loot Council are aware of all the class's capabilities and what they expect you to accomplish in a raid. Meeting these requirements by knowing your rotation, spec, how to gem and enchant, and not dying in the course of the fight is what dictates your overall PERFORMANCE.

    Attendance
Rather self-explanatory, the more raids you come to, the more you will be considered for loot. We do not just look at the top healers and top dps when we distribute loot. Commitment and Loyalty are things that we reward in our guild. However, if a long standing member of the guild is not performing well and is screwing around, that will hurt their consideration for Loot Council.

    Problems with Loot Council
If a person is on Loot Council and they are one of the players in question for an item, the other members of the Loot Council make the decision without that player.

    What’s a Judgment Call?
A Judgment Call is a cumulative decision made by the Guild Master and Officers that they deem is the best possible answer, given the options and knowledge available to them at that point in time. Remember: A Good Compromise Makes Everyone Mad. As a member of the Guild, you are trusting in the Guild Master and the Officers to do what’s best for the Guild as a whole. They make the hard decisions so that you don’t have to.

    Problems with Judgment Calls
It’s going to happen. Something is going to come up that is either not in the CoC, or it’s so much of a gray area that a definite decision is hard to make. In these situations, a Judgment Call is made. If you have a problem with a Judgment Call, talk to the GM and he will tell you why that decision was made.
