Warrior - Prot and DPS Empty Warrior - Prot and DPS

    Post  Rootbeer February 23rd 2009, 4:19 pm

This is for all warrior odds and ends, this is going to be the tanking spec first then i'll put up the DPS one below

    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=LVbh0fZhZVItrg0zidczsGo

    - That right there is the current Deep Wounds tanking spec, with that spec you only lose 5% crit but you also gain more threat and a lower stun duration.

    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=LV0hZhxZVItrg0zidIzsuo

    - This is a tanking spec that doesn't get deep wounds but grabs the 5% crit and less rage cost on abilities. Same mitigation as spec above.

    GEMS!

    - Warrior tanking gems are pretty simple, most socket bonus's are worth getting now. This is what to use

    - Straight stam
    - Dodge/stam
    - Parry/stam
    - Hit/stam
    - Defense/stam

There are a ton of options it is mainly dependent on what kind of gear you have and if you are worried about threat or mitigation.

    Tanking macros!

    - This macro makes it so every time you Devastate you automatically trigger Heroic Strike with your next melee swing.

    #showtooltip Devastate
    /cast Devastate
    /stopcasting
    /cast Heroic Strike

    - This macro makes it so every time you Revenge you automatically trigger Heroic Strike with your next melee swing.

    #showtooltip Revenge()
    /console Sound_EnableSFX 0
    /cast Revenge()
    /console Sound_EnableSFX 1
    /run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
    /cast Heroic Strike())

The very last thing, if your dodge, parry, and block are all around 20-25% you can start focusing more on threat by getting gear with hit and expertise. These are really high stats but it gives you an idea of what you need to shoot for.

around 200 hit and 20 expertise will be just fine for this as well.

    Defense cap is 540

    Fury

    http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warrior/talents.html?tal=340030002330000000000000000000305053000520310053120501351000000000000000000000000000

-This build gets most of the necessary talents without the commanding presence.

    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=LA0b0fhZGxo0E0ubeRVzAo

-With commanding presence and few points into unbridled wrath, this spec should only be used if your sporting 340 or more hit for rage generation.

    GEMS!

Gems for a fury warrior are pretty self explanatory...

    -16 Strength
    -16 Critical Strike Rating
-8 Strength, 8 Critical Strike Rating (If even found in the game yet)
    -8 Strength, 8 Haste Rating
    -16 Expertise Rating
    -8 Strength, 12 Stamina

Obviously only use the blue gems for the meta requirement.

    Rotation!

Very simple and I have a very good idea for a spec here.

    http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warrior/talents.html?tal=052003002330000000000000000000005050005500311253120501351000000000000000000000000000

I've seen this spec on a couple different websites and I was skeptical of it for awhile.

(Bloodrage>Berserker Rage)>WW>BT>Slam>Heroic Throw>Battle Stance>Rend>Thunderclap>Overpower if it procs>'Beserker Stance rinse and repeat>Battle Stance after Rend has dispelled off of mob/boss'

Rend would tick for quite a bit with this spec and with rend you also have Deep Wounds, if either Visara or Kneght would like to try out this build it would be much appreciated to try a new theory Smile

    Enchants are extremely easy

    -DPS head glyph
    -Sons of Hodir shoulder enchant
    -23 agility to cloak
    -10 stats to chest
    -AP to bracers
-20 hit or 15 expertise to gloves
    -Eternium belt buckle
    -Icewalker

    Arms

There really isn't a whole lot of specs you can really use for Arms that are going to be raid worthy so here is the spec that I recommend

    http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/warrior/talents.html?tal=052003212333510000201223031251325000005020000000000000000200000000000000000000000000

-This spec gets all of the important talents needed to be successful.

    Rotation!

Battle Stance>Rend>Berserker Stance>Bloodrage>Mortal Strike>Slam>Slam>(when rend is going off rinse and repeat)

Gems! (since you don't need anywhere near as much hit as a fury warrior this is easy)

    -16 Strength
    -16 Critical Strike Rating
-8 Strength, 8 Critical Strike Rating
    -8 Strength, 12 stam

Only using the blue for a meta requirement.

    Enchants

    -DPS head enchant
-Sons of Hodir DPS shoulder enchant
    -23 Agility to cloak
    -10 stats to chest
    -AP to bracers
    -15 expertise, 20 hit rating
    -Eternium belt buckle
    -Icewalker to boots

Arms is a talent tree that isn't as popular anymore but with the upcoming patch I would expect to see more warriors switch to arms.

Hey Root what are the warrior tanking glyphs you are using?

Also would you agree with this?

    For tanking I use the

    -Glyph of Blocking
    -Glyph of Revenge
    -Glyph of Devestate

    The minor ones

    -Glyph of Battle
    -Glyph of Thunderclap
    -Glyph of Bloodrage

I like that rotation chart. It solely relies on Sword and Board which is true.
